A 26 year old woman named Yamini Karanam was having brain surgery as it may of been suspected that she had a brain tumour. Instead surgeons discovered something much more unrealistic and out of the ordinary.

Yasmin noticed she had been struggling with hearing if just a couple of people were speaking at the same time, she found conversation and reading difficult also, which led doctors to believe it was a brain tumour.

During a brain surgery for a suspected tumour in LA, doctors and surgeons discovered Yasmin’s twin known as a ‘teratoma’. The twin which was in her brain was complete with teeth, bones and hair. When surgeons discovered this they removed the teratoma (undeveloped twin) from her brain.

Yasmin, a PHD student from India said: “If a couple of people were talking in the room, I wouldn’t understand what was happening.

“I just didn’t imagine any of this.An evil twin sister who’s been torturing me for the past 26 years.”

Dr Hrayr Shahinian also said: “It was only the second teratoma I have come across out of up to 8,000 brain tumours I have removed.”
