UK Easter Events

Easter, ‘Pasch’, ‘Resurrection Sunday’ and the first bank holiday of the year is only around the corner…the special day (Sunday 27th March) is what we celebrate in honour of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Some people go to church, others get fancy with Easter egg hunts, Easter bunny hunts and a delicious excuse in joining competitions for eating the most choccies!

So, to make this year’s Easter break a unique one, I have come up with the top 3 Easter events in the UK you can nibble away at…mmm!

1) Epping Ongar Railway Easter Egg Hunt, London

A great favourite for the kids… introduces a warm welcome to ‘Bertie’ the bunny, who will be planting away a feast of Easter eggs at the familiar heritage railway in the South-West of Essex!

The extremely long but fun Easter egg hunt event will be hosted before and after Easter day on Friday 25th March - Monday 28th March, from midday. 2) Egg Dancing, egg rolling and Easter bonnet parade

In the heart of Shropshire and at one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums brings you a crazy Easter weekend at ‘Blists Hill Victorian Town’, near Ironbridge on Friday 25th March – Monday 28th March from 10 am – 5pm with the likes of a different Easter experience with ‘Victorian style egg dancing’ involving a challenge of being blindfolded whilst walking down a trial full of eggs -which are not to be cracked!… the winner can take delight with a tasty prize of chocolate treats. There will also be an Easter hunt…summed up with an awesome pouncing parade!

Other Victorian Easter bunnies can hop along to the ‘Goods Shed’ where you can paint on eggs and get really decorative, colourful candle dipping…where you can prepare yourself for the egg rolling race or notable egg and spoon race.

3) Over Farm Market, Henry’s Easter Adventure, Gloucester

Henry the tractor invites you to his admirable Easter adventure Friday 25th March – Sunday 3rd April from 10am – 4pm at Over Farm in the magic of Gloucester.

There are plenty of attractions which boasts this special occasion, including, Tractor trailer ride coasting through the charm of farm on the look-out for hidden eggs, Quad train ride or better known as your own personal trailer strolling you along the farm, Spring trial with clues to find missing letters and the ball cannon target practice where you can blast your skills at throwing tennis balls at buckets…all for the chance to win a yummy present to cure that sweet tooth!

Otherwise, you can chuckle away at the farms own hilarious free puppet show which will be running three times a day, take part in the rubber duck race, get creative with face painting and arts and crafts…with all this excitement you can clench your thirst at the ‘Le Petit Café’ with a selection of hot and cold beverages or you can get really cheeky with the scrumptious burgers and pastries or the variety of mouth-watering cakes.
