Harry’s gone solo
Its true guys....Harry Styles has ditched the rest of the band.But is this the end of 1D?
Lead singer Harry Styles has signed a solo record deal. The 22-year old has apparently ditched the rest of the boy band to become a solo artist. This means that he is the second of the five-piece boy band to leave the group and become solo, just like ex- band member Zayn Malik. Malik recently smashed the music charts with his hit single ‘Pillow talk’, which featured Miss Gigi Hadid.
It has been reported that the singer has signed a record deal with Columbia. The label is also linked to the boyband, which is part of the Sony group. However, Harry himself has not confirmed these claims although 1D fans are beginning to wonder if this is the end of One Direction.
This is the second time the singer has been reportedly been planning a solo career. Earlier in May, Johnny McDaid of band Snow Patrol had been writing songs together, which caused further speculation that the singer had become a solo artist.
Question is, what is happening to One Direction and is this the end of the road for them or the start of better things to come? We’ll just have to wait and see I guess…
