Sade Serena comes from two Jamaican immigrant parents who both inspire her. Her father who is an aspiring artist himself and mother who is constantly vocal about the starlet that her daughter is. Other figures who have influenced her include globally known musicians Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Gwen Stefani, Beyonce and Lady Gaga, all of whom’s individuals sounds helped the molding of her music in the genre of pop. Along with pop, her musical catalog also is infused with R&B making this vocalist capable of wide-range quality. She once stated:

“I want to be currently retro, in that, I like incorporating my love for old school music, which I grew up listening to, with music that I listen to today.”

Her journey of entering the industry of music began at the early age of 12 when she recorded a demo with a family friend. The song that’s named “Lo Tienes (You Got What I Want)” was never officially released as a single, however gave her a glimpse of who she wanted to become as an artist and was able to be heard at summertime jams and open-call talent shows. Sade only grew from there, taking choral classes and began to regularly perform at school concerts for events like Christmas, Black History Month and Valentine’s Day. When she turned 17 the next step on her ladder of success was performing as a background singer, in renowned Miami music venues like the House of Blues and the American Airlines Arena.

Years later she is now under the management of UPRIZE MUSIC who allows her to create music from her soul. The lyrics in her songs share a relatable narrative of what people go through on a daily basis and how those experiences effect us.

“My music captures those moments in your mind that make you feel happy and confident in the real you. I want to be a storyteller and spread love with my music. I also want to be a teacher and share my lessons with my listeners.”

With her striving work ethic, and undeniable talent, Sade is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of music. She is writing her own success story and we can’t wait to see more of her flourish.
