The want for change and the need to be different
How can we change when there is nothing to change?
No matter how old we get or how evolved we become we always have that feeling of want. The want of love, to have someone who understands you. We have the want for companionship, the want to never being alone. The want for freedom, to think for oneself. All these needs and yet we are always rooting for the same person in ourselves.
There is a fine line between need and want. The things we want are only desires or possessions of things we want but, the fact is we don’t need them we never really did in the first place. We are brainwashed into thinking these things are what we should have. To have the perfect body, the perfect hair, the perfect skin, the perfect job, the perfect life. We don’t need these things, perfect is painful and is only an illusion, one all of us have fell for and it doesn’t matter if you’re jealous of the model you see on the TV ad or the actor you wish to be because it’s all fantasy, a trick of the mind.
We live our lives wanting to have someone else’s because we thinks there’s is better somehow but you’re wrong, everyone has there very own imperfections now matter how big or small there still there. We all struggle to love ourselves because we refuse to believe we are beautiful, that we’re amazing. That’s why we always make resolutions. But think bigger, create a bucket list, think of things you have always wanted to do and live out the rest of your life achieving just that. Learn to love yourself and be the difference in yourself. We all have our inner demons but sometimes the demons are just smoke and mirrors.
“What I am is how I came out. No one’s perfect and you just have to accept your flaws and learn to love yourself.”
- Kelly Brook
