Twitter reacts to Tim Sherwood on MOTD2
Can anyone put their finger on why Tim Sherwood is so universally hated? Probably, yes. He just seems to rub people up the wrong way. Ways that have not been seen since the very public loathing of ITV’s Champions League commentator Andy Townsend or BT Sport’s Michael Owen.
On a very very Super Sunday which saw Arsenal beat Leicester City in dramatic last second ‘you couldn’t write this Danny Welbeck fairytale’ fashion, and Spurs beating Manchester City to truly make the Premier League a four-horse race, one man was able to bring the whole nation together in the name of HATE. That man was Tim Sherwood.
Brought in to accompany Danny Murphy on the Match of the Day 2 panel, Sherwood managed to offend fans by his sheer smug presence. And if you need a place to vent your frustrations where do you go? Confession? Psychiatrist? No, you go to Twitter of course.
When speaking about the awarding of a Jamie Vardy penalty that looked suspiciously like simulation, or at least conning the ref, Sherwood applauded Vardy and appeared to condone cheating, stating he would expect his player to do the same and would lambast him for not doing so. This faux pas was compounded when he later said the Premier League was “an honest league”.
At the top of the show Tim Sherwood condones cheating, and now he says “It’s such an honest league“. The man is an imbecile.

Tim Sherwood on @BBCMOTD2 , anything he says - choose the opposite. Try it.

Having been sacked by Aston Villa earlier in the season after just 10 games Sherwood was obviously the right person to comment on their 6-0 mauling at the hands at Liverpool. Not. After the game the Villa players admitted there had been a lack of commitment on the field which was only food and drink to their former coach Sherwood, who then said this in typical smug fashion:

He does seem to have some misplaced belief in his own ability, but hey, someone has to. So when asked whether he thought Newcastle would stay up and avoid relegation he was of the opinion that because they had spent £80million they would be safe, forgetting that he had spent a considerable amount on the Aston Villa team that had just been spanked 6-0 and are destined for the drop.
Tim Sherwood, of course, having spent £49.8m in the summer, knows that spending more money practically guarantees league safety. — Simon Kino Fenton (@SimonSKITSNYGG) February 14, 2016
Can’t stand Tim Sherwood, listening to him talk bollocks about football makes it even easier to understand how he can’t manage a team.

Tell you what, you’d have a cracking night out if you took what Tim Sherwood is on — Jack (@jackfg_) February 14, 2016
Perhaps Tim should avoid showing his face on TV again but you just know he won’t because he just can’t help himself. He will cement himself as one of the most annoying figures in English football, along with Owen and Townsend. Leg-ends.
