Rupert Murdoch bags Jerry Hall engagement
If ever you are ever looking for an example that rubbishes the claim that ‘money can’t buy you love’ then I believe we have found one for you. It appears that prehistoric lord of the media Rupert Murdoch and NILF Jerry Hall are now engaged to marry. Their whirlwind romance only began last summer.
It wasn’t announced in what one would could consider normal circumstances either. In fact, their engagement notice was posted in the births, marriages and deaths section of the Times - that’s right appearing nonchalantly in the classified section!
84-year-old Murdoch just so happens to own the Times newspaper which is owned by his parent company News Corporation who own a whole array of media outlets, not to mention his involvement with BSkyB. He is on of the most powerful and influential men in the world.
Jerry Hall on the other hand is an American former model an actress known widely for her relationship with the Rolling Stones frontman, Mick Jagger. At the age of 59, and boy does she look good for it, she is 25 years younger than her new fiancé.
Now I’m not a total love cynic, but for a model who has dated some of the best looking and most wanted men on the planet it feels strange that she would shoot for a pensioner who looks like Darth Sidious, the Sith Lord that turned Anakin Skywalker to the dark side of the force in Star Wars. And actually after all that phone hacking debacle Murdoch played a decent villain in real life.
But the question stands: “So Jerry, what first attracted you to the multi billionaire Rupert Murdoch?
