One Direction drop History music video
One Direction release the music video to single ‘History’.
Despite announcing their one year long hiatus at the end of 2015, One Direction have released a brand new music video to their single ‘History’ from their album ‘Made In The AM’ - and It’s a tearjerker!
The heart-warming video released on Tuesday 26th January features a series of flashback montages, documenting One Direction’s journey to where they are today, very fitting for their farewell track ‘History’.
The ‘History’ music video depicts some of the bands stand out moments in their incredible journey over the years, with even some appearances of former member Zayn Malik included in the emotional flashbacks.
A clip of Zayn Malik hugging band member Louis Tomlinson during the lyrics “I thought we were going strong” will be sure to pull at the heart strings of millions of One Direction fans across the world.
The 3 minute music video also features a number of clips of fans watching the band performing at concerts in tears, with other clips showing fans in their masses supporting the boys outside various venues around the world over the years, and fans were very quick to show their support of the highly anticipated video on social media.
Some tweets from fans included “Very proud of you guys. Thanks for these amazing moments” and “Why do I feel like a proud mother?” along with the hashtag #1DHistoryVideo, which shot to the top trending spot on Twitter.
Even music mogul Simon Cowell confessed that he was left feeling emotional after watching the video for the first time- And there’s us thinking he didn’t have a heart!
