The loss of the ones we love
The loss of the ones we love is never the end.
With death always being around the corner we learn to just live with it, we learn that there is nothing we can do to stop it. If you are one of those people who also believes that then you would be right. We can’t stop the inevitable because without death we wouldn’t have been able to feel the emotions that come with such a big disaster in the world.
For those who have felt loss like I have you know how hard it is to come back from it, no matter who the person was you lost you still have this nagging voice in your ear telling you that you could have done something, been there for them. But the realisation is you’re not a superhero no matter how much you wish you were.
Some of us believe death is impossible force to run, something you can’t escape no matter how hard you try: those people would be right. I believe we die for a reason but who am I to say.
Sometimes it may seem unfair to lose those amazing people, who smiled and never looked to harm the world but when you really look at it maybe there taken from us so that we can celebrate their existence through great stories and memories. Perhaps their peace should put us at peace.
Remember the soldiers that died protecting us? No one asked them to but they did it to save us all while we are cuddled up safe in our houses with our family, oblivious to what they are going through.
Remember the people we lost over terrorist attacks? Think how scared they were, but also know that they were strong because they fought to survive. Remember all the loved ones we have lost and remember what they taught us, whether it’s big or small every lesson counts.
Think about it the next time you watch the news or read the newspaper, notice the people we have lost and learn about their pasts as much as you can because they could have been the messengers on earth that save us from ourselves.
