Let’s do it! 5 good reasons to travel alone

by -

We can consider ourself the traveler generation. Can you see how people are changing their habits and putting travel in their life as an essential thing? To prove that fact is not just an assumption, according to the UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, international tourist arrivals grew by 4.4% in 2015. There are almost 1.2 million of international tourists travelling around the world! So, if we are the generation with the traveler “thing” in our gene, why should we be afraid to travel alone?!

To convince you about this idea, I’ve listed 5 reasons why we should travel alone, at least once.

  1. You can travel to ANY place

When you decide to travel alone, you can just go wherever you want go. You can be at a computer just chilling and then BANG big tickets sale. You don’t need to ask somebody if they want to go to that place, at that time. Just buy your tickets and go.

  1. Making a trip plan becomes easier

If you are the kind of person who likes to plan every single detail of your trip, do it, without interventions! If you don’t and you just like to walk around and be surprised with the city, just do that instead. You are the boss of your trip. Trust me, it is a really nice thing to do. You can spend one day in that museum you’ve always dreamt of visiting without anyone complaining about it.

  1. Money, money, money

Unfortunately, travelling around will make some of your money disappear. Sometimes, you have a good budget and you can spend more than your friends, or it could be the contrary. So, when you are traveling alone you can spend how much money your budget allows you to and you won’t feel pressured or guilty.

  1. Making new friends

That’s a fact, when you are alone, you can make new friends easier. You are susceptible to conversing with people you don’t know. That’s one of the things getting out of your comfort zone will do for you!

  1. Opportunity to know yourself better

That’s the “big thing”about travel alone: spend sometime with yourself. In the “normal” life we are always with our family and friends, which is amazing! But, travel can give you the opportunity to be just you and you alone. To know yourself better. Trust me, in one weekend traveling by yourself you can find more about your person than in 10 years of your life. Give it a go!

Did I convince you, have you tried and do you agree? Let me know your thoughts below!
