Elton John slams Janet Jackson on social media
Elton John has slammed Janet Jackson in harsh tweet.
Janet Jackson is the latest celebrity to be attacked by Sir Elton John’s sharp tongue in a comment he made on his Twitter page recently.
In the tweet, which has now appeared to be taken down. Elton John accused Janet Jackson of lip-syncing at her concert and told her to “F*ck off!”. The star wrote:
“You know f*cking music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, ‘This is the greatest show- four and a half stars’. It’s f*cking lip-synced! Hello! That’s not a show! I’d rather go and see a drag queen. F*ck off.”
This is not the first time the singer of hit song ‘Your Song’ has publicly blasted a fellow celebrity. Both Madonna and Billy Joel have previously been in the firing line.
Back in 2003, Elton made a similar comment towards Madonna, calling her a ‘fairground stripper’. But some time later, in 2013, he publicly apologised to her, which she graciously accepted.
The same, however, did not apply to singer Billy Joel. The pair got in a very public feud after Elton called his friend out on his heavy drinking, but again, they did make up 2 years later, although he said he had no regrets about what he said.
The singer said “He’s one of the great American songwriters. But I know when people used to say to me ‘You’re wasting your life’ I’d go f*ck off and I wouldn’t speak to them for 2 years.”
He also added “Billy was p*ssed (About the comments he had made) and I understand. But does it mean I don’t love him? No of course not.”
Maybe you should start thinking before you speak Elton!
