Animals need love its the owners who are to blame

For those who know about animal cruelty they know it’s a bad thing right? But do you really understand what the word cruelty means?

The definition of cruelty is “cruel behaviour or attitudes” and if you look it up yourself you will also notice the words that are synonyms to this particular word are “savage”, “brutality”, and my favourite, “inhumanity” So now you know the basics it’s time to understand the real pain to it all.

I bet you can’t guess how many poor animals are starved, beaten and abandoned. No? I’ll tell you over 1 million animals a year. To you it may seem like just simply words that a typical six year old can spell, what you don’t realise is that there is more to these words than the letters. Ever heard of the saying ‘read between the lines’? Now I can go through what each and every definition to these words mean or I can just tell you the point to this article and hope that you will listen, So here goes.

The point to this is that animals don’t need to be treated this way, they don’t need to be bullied we are grown ups after all, so why do we still act like kids having a tantrum breaking out new toy. No! these animals are not toys they feel everything that we feel. They feel pain, they love and sometimes they get sad we are blinded by the fact that we call these animals pets.

Now, the word pet means “a domestic or tamed animal or bird kept for companionship or pleasure” now this does NOT say cause pain. We may be in the 21st century with our new and improved gadgets and consoles but that does not mean that we should forget to feed our animals because were to busy playing on our phones or beating an animal because there are in the way. We are more alike to these animals than you may think, they may even be more intelligent than us.

Now this whole article isn’t just about your normal indoor/outdoor pets this is also for all those other animals out there that also suffer because of our petty behaviour. We need to start making a change but, some of us are afraid to try. Help those who can’t help themselves, do something different for a change.
