Hear snippet of Zayn Malik’s debut solo track

We all know him from the hugely successful boyband One Direction, but former member Zayn Malik, is back and he’s going solo. Malik has revealed a small preview of his new music as a solo artist!

Zayn Malik, who left One Direction back in March this year, will appear on the cover of The Fader, a New York based music magazine, and in a new interview with the magazine, Malik talked about his plans for a new album, which he said has been 10 years in the making.

In the interview, Malik said “I don’t feel like people really know what i’m going to give them. And once they hear it, I feel like they will understand me a little bit more, and they’ll understand why I did what I did, and why I left the band and why I had to write this sh*t down. Because for five years- not even five years, for ten years. This album has been in my brain, sat with me, needing to be out.”

Over the past few weeks, it has also appeared that Zayn has been working with Malay, Frank Ocean’s producer, who also has other impressive production credentials, working with artists such as John Legend, on his new solo material. Malay has described Malik as a pure genius. The former One Direction member has also signed a new record contract with the label RCA.
