What is this tour you ask? Well the Golden Confidence movement first began as a hashtag on Instagram as #GoldenConfidence. Essie Golden who is the creator of this movement and pool party tour is a model, body-positive advocate, and respected voice in the plus size community. The reason behind this was to empower women to unapologetically redefine the social norms and constructs of what is beautiful and fashionable. This movement became popular on and off the digital space which is how the Golden Confidence Pool Party was born. The first Golden Confidence Pool Party, held last year in NYC unified women from all over the globe, including full figured models, bloggers, celebrities, and everyday women. The event sparked such a positive response of loving the body you have, Essie decided to add Miami and LA to the tour to bring even more women together.
