Top 7 McDreamy moments in Grey’s Anatomy

by -

I hope everyone of you has seen (or at least heard of) Grey’s Anatomy. If not you need to do it immediately, because it’s basically the best show ever, in my opinion, of course.

In the spirit of the upcoming premier of the new season I will be a rebel and I will remind you, all the true fans out there, what we will be missing this year. Yes, you guessed it (probably from the title), our beloved Derek Shepard is gone and, unfortunately, so is the true spirit of the show. The whole story line revolved around his love with Meredith Grey and the way they just erased him was just unfair and honestly disrespectful to the fans.

Alas, here are some heart-warming moments of this lovely character which will most likely make you miss him even more. They call him “McDreamy” for a reason after all.

1. Comforting Meredith in the closet

Even though they are not together, he still gives his best try to calm her down and it is all so emotional, you can really see the love in his eyes.

2. Their joined bubble bath

He is extremely romantic, what a surprise, right? Nothing is better than a guy who is ready to draw you a bubble bath with candles but also to hop into it with you.

3. Remembering their last kiss

That is probably one of the dreamiest speech you will ever hear. He loves her that much that he recalls every little detail – from the exact date and time, to the smell of her hair.

4. Taking Cristina fishing

If a man takes care of your friends (Cristina is Meredith’s best friend) when they are upset, ill, etc. he is really a keeper. That should show he actually cares about you and he will do everything in his power to keep you happy as well.

5. Comforting Miranda Bailey

Obviously his dreamy attitude towards Meredith is a must, after all he really loves her. But throughout the show we see that he is also an amazing friend. When Bailey’s son was in danger, he did his best to comfort her and tell her that it wasn’t her fault. For some reason this scene has stuck in the back of my mind and I think it is a great example of the perfection of the character.

6. The hilarious situations he sometimes encounters

For example, being stuck in an elevator with his current and ex-girlfriend as well as his ex-wife. Pretty awkward.

Mark: “I bet you wish you’d taken the stairs right about now.”

7. Never letting people be hurt

Finally, he is the kind of person who would rather risk his own life than let anybody get hurt. Even in his final minutes, he was trying his best to help people. That is why fans loved him so much. He was believable, he was flawed, but ultimately after all, we all are. But at the same time, his character showed what a true man should look like nowadays.

We will miss you, Derek.
