Two days ago Hollywood megastar Charlie Sheen admitted to being HIV positive in what was a truly shocking revelation. The world was aware that Sheen lived a life close to that of his Two and a Half Men counterpart Charlie Harper but when the actor proclaimed that he was “winning”, it was something that everyone assumed was the truth.
The aftermath of this news leaves everybody to wonder about all of the women that Charlie Sheen has been involved with. Many of Sheen’s ex-girlfriends have approached Gloria Allred, a well known lawyer. Allred admitted that she was “contacted by women with reference to Charlie Sheen and their rights”. She also admitted that she had no idea what would happen next.
Understandably, some of the women that Charlie Sheen has previously worked with were furious when Charlie Sheen decided to go public with this news. Jenny McCarthy was one of the women, who voiced her frustration with Sheen. She played a small role in Two and a Half Men as Courtney, one of Charlie’s girlfriends. McCarthy made it clear that she was aware that HIV couldn’t be caught from kissing however she felt that Charlie Sheen should have been upfront about it stating: “If I have to be upfront about a herpe, how could you not be upfront about HIV?”
Sheen’s ex-girlfriend Bree Olson claimed that he wasn’t truthful when informing his partners of his condition and admitted to having unprotected sex with him, fortunately she wasn’t diagnosed.
Not everyone is upset with Charlie Sheen, with some people even praising his bravery. Whatever the opinion on Charlie Sheen is, it will be interesting to see how he moves on in light of his announcement.
