Kingsman 2 has officially been given a title, plus plot details have been revealed.
The upcoming spy spoof sequel of Kingsman: Secret Service has officially been given a title, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Plot details of the sequel have also been revealed. Kingsman: The Golden Circle will see Eggsy (Taron Egerton) travel state-side with Merlin (Mark Strong) to work for a secret American spy society called Statesmen.
Once at the Statesmen headquarters, which is disguised as whisky distillery. Eggsy and Merlin are faced with the challenge of defeating the evil Poppy (Juilanne Moore).
Also new to the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle is Halle Berry, who is reported to be playing Ginger, the leader of the Statesman spy society.
Director Matthew Vaughn also teased at some plot hints. After the church scene in the first Kingsman, fans of Kingsman have been eager to see another scene like that in the sequel, but Vaughn quickly brushed that off in a recent interview.
He said “I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you’ve never seen before. These sequences look set to feature robot dogs, one-armed henchmen, bar brawls and, of course, a massive f*cking frankfurter that wages war on the heroes.”
However, Vaughn did not explain what the golden circle actually is, but he did reveal some concept art for the new movie- which look pretty exciting!
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is expected for cinema release on 16 June, 2017.
