George Shelley has left his band Union J and it doesn’t seem to be on good terms.
One of George Shelley’s spokespeople said “It was a mutual decision for George to leave Union J so he could focus on his broadcasting and acting career.”
The statement was released after the rest of the Union J members publicly announced they were looking for another band member.
The statement also said “He (George) is now a regular part of The Capital FM Breakfast Show, hosted The Brits red carpet live and recently completed shooting on BBC3 show Murder in Successville.
“The fact of the matter is that the other members of Union J are simply jealous he has achieved the start of an exciting new career and they have not.”
In response to that statement, Union J released their own statement about the matter.
Union J member Jaymi Hensley said “It’s heart-breaking. I spoke to him the other day and I said I’m heartbroken over this. I am absolutely devastated. This is taking up all my time and affect my home life.”
He also added “It brings us down when you turn up to something and the other person can’t be there, or they are turning up late. That makes you not love the project. One negative view can ruin it for everyone.”
Ouch! But it appears George Shelley has moved on already. The former I’m A Celebrity star has removed Union J from his twitter bio and has already been hinting at new music.
