We’re different so what’s with the labels

how do we become ourselves when lable's are all we are?

We live in a 21st century where we are unable to be ourselves. We are unable to see that there is no need to be the same or to be normal, but normal is boring.

We seem to think that if we tag something and label it, it becomes less scary and then we don’t really seem to care about that persons feelings. We label people because it makes us feel better when in reality we are only destroying that person from the inside out. Hate, jealousy and many other things get in the way of life. They stop us from being alive, having that chance to be unexpected, to be adventures and kind.

This place and this moment in time where we are now is clouded, it’s blind only by what we wish to see. There is only a handful of people in the whole world who are kind, who are respectful and don’t judge someone just by how they look or how they dress. They are the people we look to become, we have grown up over the time only to be told how to act – a brainwashing of such. We learn how to live by seeing what’s around us and copy other people’s actions only to hope thats it is right. To be sectioned – to be cattle of someone else’s game.

We forget to be ourselves because we are no longer ourselves, we’re only the hollow part of our bodies. Only our souls can bring us back and the purest of hearts. Only then do we begin to ascend.

“I’m not an optimist. I’m a realist. And my reality is that we live in a multifaceted, multicultural world. And maybe once we stop labelling ourselves, then maybe everyone else will.”

- Octavia Spencer
