The top 5 healthy chicken dishes for the evening!
I don’t know about you carnivore lovers out there, but if I had to choose my favourite meat or favourite dish it involves chicken! Therefore, I have decided to come up with the top 5 healthy chicken delicacies dishes to tuck your teeth right in to!
1) Greek Chicken with Tomato and Rice Salad
This heavenly light option is quick and simple to make and the best snack alternative!
You can apply any seasoning you want onto your chicken to make it truly your own such as, lemon zest, traditional Greek seasoning, thyme and basil or kick things off more with a hint of garlic or ginger!
Make sure you cook the chicken thoroughly under 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes. Whilst the chicken is sizzling away nicely, make a fabulous rocket salad full of greens, tomatoes, avocados and so on and heat up any type of rice, such as basmati or for the healthier option- choose brown rice, on low.
When the chicken and rice has finished cooking, slice up the chicken neatly to your desire and drain the water from the rice down the sink. Then mix both in with your salad for the perfect filling treat!
2) Chicken and Noodle Soup
During the winter what better comfort is there than a mouth-watering warm soup to keep us warm and satisfied?
This good food combination is perfect for those suffering with a horrible cold. Just stick in chicken broth with sliced chicken, garlic and ginger in a saucepan and bring to the boil then simmer until it is nice and thick and voila… you can add in vegetables and other spices too for a healthier option!
3) Chicken Casserole
This is another winter favourite the ultimate one-pot chicken delight, consisting of winter spring vegetables in an appetizing stew.
Simply place the sliced chicken in a large saucepan with your favourite winter vegetables such as, onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, mushrooms and so on, then fill it all up with chicken broth and a bit of flour for a thicker texture!
Again, you can add any seasoning of your fancy to give it that extra something!
4) Chicken Stir Fry
This is my ultimate favourite dish and can be made in under 10 minutes!
Add in diced chicken in to your best frying pan and whip in any of your best-loved vegetables such as, broccoli, onions, peppers and green beans, and keep the heat down low.
Then, add in any special flavouring such as, soy sauce or for those who truly love the heat, then spice things up with a small table spoon of chilli!
Once, you have given it all a good stirring then place any noodles in that you wish such as, egg noodles or choose rice to make it a meal you certainly won’t forget!
5) Chicken Katsu Curry
This supreme curry is honestly one of my best meals!
This Japanese recipe consists of succulent chicken covered in breadcrumbs soaked with peanut satay sauce, with rice or salad.
You can add any vegetables for a healthier meal such as, carrots and broccoli and again go for brown rice supposed to white rice as it is easier to digest.
